The cake server shows an exceptionally beautiful pattern of shells, flowers and threads. The size of the cake lifter allows it to be used for really large cakes or pieces of pastry and also as serving cutlery for fish or meat. At that time it was by no means uncommon to use these sumptuous pieces of cutlery for different dishes. These pieces were treated
