Azelia, Barolo Margheria, 2010 PZCalifornia and it’s definitely not flavored—justAzelia's Serralunga d'Alba cru from the legendary 2010 vintage, a Barolo built for the long haul. While Azelia is based in Castiglione Falletto, Margheria gives Luigi Scavino access to true Serralunga terroir: a south facing slope below the village, with very poor white calcareous clay and a silty component that lends Margheria its distinctive perfumed, almost spicy character among Serralunga sites.
